Guests clapping and dancing around the band under a white canopy

Private parties

A party band like no other. Because there is no stage.

Birthdays, anniversaries, villa nights and the parties that need no excuse. A band that plays among your guests, no stage, no cables, then a DJ with live sax until you say stop.

The occasions

Plenty of reasons to party

From the early stages of planning to getting everyone dancing on the tables, every detail and all the logistics are mastered.

Milestone birthdays

Forty, fifty, sixty: the party that needs no excuse and deserves a band that makes the speeches short.

Anniversaries

The songs you first danced to, learnt ahead and played live, and the ones your friends will not sit through.

Villa and garden parties

A terrace, a pool, a lawn under string lights. The band walks in and the evening finds its rhythm.

Family celebrations

Baptisms, engagements, reunions. Three generations, one repertoire that reaches all of them, in their languages.

Dinners at home

Twenty guests, one long table, a trio that plays at conversation distance. No rig in the living room.

Just because

Since 2015 the bands have played countless private events. Some had a reason. The best ones did not.

At home, in a villa, in a garden

Made for private settings

The questions hosts ask first: will it fit, will it be too loud, will everyone join in.

I

It fits the room

No stage, no cables, no speaker stacks. A roaming band needs room to walk, not a platform to stand on: a living room, a garden, a terrace or a restaurant all work.

II

It fits the neighbours

Unplugged means no bass through the walls. The volume stays inside the party, and where amplified music has a curfew, the roaming format plays on.

III

It fits the guest list

A trio for thirty, a quintet for a hundred and fifty. Every band scales, and the repertoire spans the decades so nobody sits out.

The evening

From the first glass to the last song

Three sets of thirty minutes placed where they matter, and the DJ to finish. A private party we played; yours is written with you.

19:00

The arrival

The band appears among the first guests. Acoustic, close, unhurried. People notice the class before they notice the volume.

20:30

The table

Serenades between the courses, requests taken, the host's favourite slipped in without warning.

22:30

The ignition

One song is all it takes. The band steps up, the guests stand up, and the dinner becomes the party.

00:00

The night

The DJ takes over with the saxophonist on top, and the floor stays full until you say so.

The roster

Bands most booked for parties

A trio for the living room, a quintet for the garden. These four cover most private briefs; the whole roster is one page away.

Memories

We made their night

Gardens, terraces, dancefloors under the stars. Real parties, real hosts, real guests.

We had the Brotherockers perform at our wedding and we could not have made a better choice. They played throughout our cocktail dinner and after our main dinner and they were the standout event of the day. Everybody was raving about them afterwards. They helped to create a high energy and positive vibe throughout the day and ensured they roamed around to include all wedding guests at different stages of the day. We used the Brotherockers to DJ and play the saxophone into the late night which I highly recommend including in your package. If you’re considering musicians for your wedding we couldn’t recommend The Brotherockers enough!

Where to start? From start to finish they were incredible! Got all the wedding guests singing and dancing. Brought the tempo of the wedding up throughout the day and then the DJ was amazing right up until the end! All of our special requests were planned before and made the actual day so unbelievably fun! So many guests loved the band! Overall 10/10. Pierre was also amazing throughout the planning process and linked in with the wedding planner to make the entertainment so so good!

The Brotherockers sont juste exceptionnels !

The host's questions

Space, volume, neighbours, requests. The full list is on the FAQ page.

All questions
What is a roaming band?

A roaming band, also called a strolling band, plays unplugged and on the move. The musicians sing without microphones and walk among your guests, using the whole venue rather than a stage. Every set is close, personal and interactive: the music comes to the table, the terrace, the dancefloor.

How is it different from a stage band or a DJ?

A stage band performs at your guests from a distance; a DJ plays records. A roaming band performs with your guests, at conversation distance, and reads the room song by song. It is the format that turns a drinks reception into the start of the party. For the late night, our DJ takes over so the energy never drops.

How loud is a roaming band?

Loud enough to get 150 people dancing, quiet enough to talk over at the next table. There is no heavy amplification: the concept brings the music directly to the guests, passing between the groups and the tables. It cannot be compared with a DJ through a sound system, and that is the point.

For larger events the band can plug into a sound system with wireless microphones, or play on stage with a full amplified set-up: guitar and bass amps, acoustic drum kit.

Can our guests make requests?

Yes. You can pick titles from the setlist ahead of the event, and guests are welcome to call out a song during the sets. Once the party starts, though, we suggest you leave the running order to the band: reading the room is the craft.

How far in advance should we book?

As soon as your date and venue are set. Summer Saturdays on the Riviera and in Italy are often taken a year ahead. That said, the bands are highly responsive and prepared to travel at short notice: if you have a musical emergency, we would be delighted to solve it.

How does the booking process work?

Tell us the date, the place, the number of guests and your budget through the enquiry form. Pierre answers within the day with the acts that fit and their availability. A short call settles the programme. A signed agreement and a deposit confirm the date. From there the agency handles the planning with you and your planner, down to the last song.

Can we see the band before we book?

Watch the films on each band page and on our YouTube channel, and follow the bands on Instagram for footage from recent events. On request we send unedited clips from a wedding or a gala close to what you are planning.
